Overview: Custom Fields allow our partners to tailor their intake process by creating unique questions or statements that align with their organizational needs. These fields must be configured by the Link2Feed team and are available exclusively to Advance partners. If your organization needs a new custom field, please follow the steps below to submit a request.

Viewing Custom Fields
1. Log in: Log in to your network using your credentials.
2. Navigate to Administration:

- Locate the Administration section in the left-hand menu panel.
- Select Fields to view the custom fields currently configured for your organization.
Submitting a Custom Field Request
Custom fields must be created by the Link2Feed team and are available exclusively to Advance partners. If your organization qualifies, please reach out to Support with the following details:

- Label: The question or statement you want to add.
- Description (optional): Additional instructions or context.
- Field Location: Specify where the custom field should appear in your system (e.g. Personal Tab, Profile Tab, Monthly Income Tab, TEFAP/CSFP Tab, Dietary Considerations Tab).
- Field Type: The type of response format needed:
| Field Type | Description |
| Text | Used to capture freeform text responses. Can be configured as a single-line field for brief answers or multi-line for longer input like notes. |
| Numeric | Used to capture a number-only input. The Numeric Field Type displays as a counter where text or symbols are not permitted. |
| Select | Allows users to choose one option form a predefined list. You must provide the list of choice you want Link2Feed to include. |
| Multi-Select | Allows users to select multiple options from a predefined list. You must provide the list of choices you want Link2Feed to include. |
| Date | Captures a specific calendar date. |
| Yes/No | A simple yes/no checkbox to capture binary responses. |
⚠️ Important Notes:

Only Advance partners can request custom fields. If you're unsure about your partner status, please contact Support.

Field Type and Field Location cannot be changed once the field is created. Please review your selection carefully.

By default, the Link2Feed Support team will set the Field Usage to "Other." This can be modified by the partner once the field is configured.
Editing an Existing Custom Field
1. Locate the Field:
- Scroll to the bottom of the relevant section where the custom field is listed.
2. Edit the Field:
- Click the orange pencil icon on the far right of the field you wish to modify.
- Make necessary changes to the label, description, permissions, or other settings.
3. Save Your Edits:

- Once all changes are complete, click Save at the bottom right of the field settings page.
Tips and Best Practices
💡 Use clear, concise labels to make fields easy for users to understand.
🔄 Test new fields in a staging environment, if possible, to ensure they work as intended.
📅 Regularly review custom fields to ensure they remain relevant and useful.
